Neato Fleets is a three person band that plays LOUD lo-fi pop -- fuzzy, minimal and catchy, jangly and distorted pop. Though Neato Fleets is technically the solo project of Frances Chang, she and the band she plays with-- Paul Misak (http://myspace.com/learnthealphabet) and Mike Naideau (http://virb.com/mikenaideau) -- are touring as a musical collective, playing all of their songs together and creating a new project.

IRITIS blends western music with eastern influences.
Their sound bridges many different genres from hard rock to bollywood to piano ballads to psychedelic rock while their lyrics explore philosophical themes and the human condition.
"When a band describes itself as "Psychedelic Eastern Rock", it begs for a second glance. The fusion of various sounds is evident from this Rockville, MD outfit and results in a very cool vibe."
-Robert Fulton, On Tap Magazine
"Iritis is unlike any DC-area band that I have ever heard. They deliver melodies and rhythms that are at once familiar but also unusual, and mix them together into an eclectic musical menu that will both entertain and intrigue you at the same time. It is rare to find a band that can engage your head AND your feet. A definite must-see - and hear!" - Ken Salaets, Founder of Black-bird Star Music

This native mid-westerner got her musical start in the coffeehouses and clubs of Minneapolis, MN. She has since transplanted herself into the DC music scene and is stepping into the solo spotlight sharing her mellow melodic collection of songs about love, loss, faith, longing, hope, the unknown and the threads woven between.

My band name is called the 'Lulu Fall Duo', which consists of myself and an amazing acoustic guitarist Andy Fahs. Our music is very intimate yet filled with excitement and energy. Most of our music is original, ranging from topics like culture to love; we do cover some bossanova and jazz songs--I must admit, out renditions are killer!

Tiik Pollet is an award winning singer songwriter and alternative rock musician. She has political edge and passion with melodic flare. Think John Lennon meets Chrissie Hynde, Heather Nova, Bob Dylan, Souxie Sioux. She has had many bands over the years and has also worked in bands with locals Toshi Reagon, Dante Ferrando, David Byers and many others. She released her album titled "National Tears" in 1992 with Tiik and Native Ban. She is working on a new album with her new band, GUTS, with drummer Tina, and is looking for more musicians to join the band. Whether with band or acoustic solo, Tiik is an engaging, power packed performer.

Origin Theory's mission is to create music that is rhythmically and melodically ornate, while still preserving the classic cheesy metal persona we so love. We have all been classical musicians at some point and therefore value technique and musicality, however we may interpret those things. Our songs tend to visit several different musical themes within one body, often contrasting greatly between sections in terms of style and time signature.

If you were a castaway with only one song, what would it be? Those are the songs we like to perform. Maybe we know one of yours. Come and have a listen.
WHO ARE WE??? Glad you asked. Well, first at bat is our pluckiest string plucker George "Highway Man" Hall. A well know artist from the wonderful eastern shores of Maryland. George has spent many an evening serenading the seafaring folk with a wide range of tunes from sea shanties to Black Sabbath. Next on deck is Rob "Axbanger" Cherney. Without a doubt, the most accomplished bass player we ever had the pleasure to play with. It has been our challenge to try and trip him up selecting songs with increasing difficulty, but we just can't seem to do it. At cleanup is Jonathan “Rocketman” Blasco. If there is anyone who needs ritalin at the kit it is this jackrabbit. Once properly sedated, Jonathan can fit a rhythm into anything. Which comes in handy when considering our song list. We may perform under various act titles, but the goal is always the same...to enjoy playing good music and share it with others whenever possible.

House OF Echo (aka H.O.E.) is a mainstream-rock band that represents the intersection of Rock and Soul music. The band draws comparisons to super-groups like Maroon 5, Dave Mathews Band, Mint Condition and Sting. Those who have seen the band's high powered live performances are very excited about what the future holds for them.

Online trade magazine, Music Freedom discovered H.O.E. and reviewed their work in 2007. The following excerpt ran on the front page of publication's website:
"Perhaps it's ironically fitting that the nation's capital, where divisions often rage, has given birth to a musical act that promises to cross more than a few boundaries. Grounded by smart lyrics and creative instrumentation, Washington, DC-based House of EchO, offers its listeners a mash-up of rock, funk, and soul. By melding rock guitar with funky drums and bass and gospel-inflected keys, what began as one man's solo project has emerged as an engaging musical hybrid."

My approach can best be described as "painting with bass", to borrow a concept from David Torn. I use loops, effects, preparations, found objects, voice, text and electronics as part of my sonic vocabulary. My focus is free improv to discover textures and colors along with melody, harmony and rhythm.
