Fri Jul 3 - 9:30pm-10:50pm Rob Wolcott was born and raised in Southern California, though he has never picked up surfing and male pattern baldness has claimed his long, golden locks . Rob discovered the electric bass in high school and fell in love with the wonders of all fretted instruments. Rob refined his skills by playing in various Christian bands, leading worship services through his college years, and stewing in angst. He recorded an album in the spring of 2005, but his tour was cut short when he made the regrettably responsible decision to attend law school. The life of a law student precluded Rob from performing much, but he continued to find time to write new music whenever he could. Rob used the money that he borrowed at a high interest rate from a private lender that shall remain nameless – under the guise of “needing money to take the bar” – to record a full length album of his original work. His music reflects upon the uncertainty of coming of age in modern American society and - of course - pays homage to the myriads of women in his life. If his current girlfriend asks – tell her all of the nice songs are about her. | ||||||||||||
