The Visual Arts Committee

The Visual Arts committee works to actively engage Artomatic participants and visitors in order to foster the growth and development of the larger creative community.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary collaborations
  • Educational programming, including tours and workshops
  • Children's programs
  • Artist socials
  • Outreach

The Visual Arts Resource Center (VARC) will be a space at Artomatic to provide connections between visual arts groups working on behalf of the arts community and the artists and residents of the greater DC area. Primarily composed of non-profit arts groups, or groups created with that same sense of mission, the VARC provides an opportunity to showcase resources that support artists living and working in DC. Along with the area's arts groups; companies, galleries, and businesses that provide products, materials, and services that support visual artists will also have materials in the VARC.

The Development and Marketing Committee

The Development and Marketing Committee coordinates the promotion and marketing of Artomatic. They also work to ensure that relationships with funding supporters are optimized. Coordination with the EPM Committee ensures maximizing of grants and other in-kind donations.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Public, community and artist relations
  • Marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Web services
  • History
  • Outreach
  • Design

The Event and Program Management Committee

The Event and Program Management Committee exercises oversight and administration of Artomatic events. Activities include: site identification, event planning, and site/resource development and allocation.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Site Selection
  • Site Management
  • Space Allocation
  • Registration
  • Volunteer Coordination

The Performing Arts Committee

The Performing Arts committee is responsible for Music, Dance, Theater, Film, Video, Poetry and Spoken word.

This committee works individually and in conjunction with the Visual Arts Committee to recruit, schedule and coordinate the broad spectrum of artists and artists' groups. Their roles and responsibilities include:

  • Performance scheduling
  • Logistical and technical support
  • Educational Programming
