Filmmakers Registration Guide

Artomatic is a multi-disciplinary arts extravaganza with films scheduled daily during the month-long show.

Films range from documentary, drama, and comedy to experimental productions and more.

Artomatic is not juried. Participation is based on a first-come, first-served basis and no one needs to view your film in advance. It’s open to all artists 18 and older.

If you wish to show a film Artomatic, make sure to read the instructions below.

 

Getting Started

Before you begin your Artomatic registration, please take a moment to read these guidelines so you understand how the process works and make sure you complete all of the necessary steps. In an effort to ease the registration process, we have tried to separate the steps into On-Line Registration and Booking.

Many of the steps must be completed on-line. Every performing artist must book their film or video to complete registration.

You must complete both Parts I & II of the registration process in order to participate in Artomatic.

Films and video are generally be booked each day the event is open until half an hour before the event closes.

 

Part I: Online registration


Registration for Artomatic will open Monday, April 9. Registration is online only. Deadline: Open until filled.

All Artomatic Performing Arts participants must:

Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.

Create an Artist Catalogue, including your real name and working phone numbers and email address.

Supply a valid e-mail address to receive an E-mail Confirmation Receipt with the subject line,Important Information for Participating in Artomatic which will include information on booking your video or film. Please look for the Important Information for Performing Artist section. You will also be able to locate this E-mail on My Dashboard using the My Messages link on the right menu block.

Submit artist statement. (optional)

Submit selected image or MP3. (optional)

 

Scheduling - Part II

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email from a booking manager with further instructions.

You will be assigned a block of time (up to 2 hours) during which you can screen your film, invite your friends, do a Q&A, or have a party. If your film has a short running time, you can do a re-screening, or fill in any remaining time as you want. If you have a filmmaker friend from out of town who will not be able to attend Artomatic, show his film too!  The only requirement is that you (or somebody on your behalf) are present in the screening room during the time assigned to you. You do not have to drop off your film or video in advance.
