Art is an ecstatic mystery. like fire, like music. I paint. Art is a thing unto itself, beyond defining parameters. My paintings are mostly about the unseen world.

I was originally trained as a sculptor. These things I have sculpted are grounded in the DC tradition of aluminum foil works. If you haven’t seen The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations' Millennium General Assembly by James Hampton in The American Museum of Art, go. The video made about me “Eve in the Third Heaven” is coincidence.

Alien Adam and Eve is a quasi-autobiographical meditation about man and woman and the fact that we might not actually be real humans. This dude is actually a guy I am attached to, off and on, who looks like this and has scars he swears he got on the same night he and his friends saw the space ship. He is the lover, the alien. They gave him a human name and ss #, but I am just not sure. Am I real? There are theories that aliens had something to do with the origin of humans on Earth.

The anchor is full of metaphors and comes from the season I listened to Moby Dick over and over.
