Falling Through the Cracks started with photographs of the intricately designed sidewalks of Prague. A city resident ignores these mosaic footpaths the way a DC local passes hurriedly by the White House. But as a tourist, I was captivated by the patterns and made art from art.

I reduce the digital images of the sidewalk photos to about an inch wide and fill a whole sheet of paper (Word doc) with that one photo.

With scissors, I cut shapes by hand from the patterned paper, adding color and depth by gluing on pastel paper and vice versa. Finished pieces are 8"x10".

You'll find me on the 9th floor near the Peeps! Come off the elevator on 9, look for the grid wall with purple Peeps and turn right. I'm across from the puzzle guy. The space is: 09-248
