LOCAL WOMAN DEDICATES LIFE TO ART

A lazy, overweight Silver Spring housewife has discovered meaning in her life through drawing and painting. "It's great," she says, "I get to draw naked people and have endless discussions about plasticity and resolving the picture plane." She also loves it that the flaky and erratic behavior that used to drive her friends and family crazy is now a perfectly acceptable expression of artistic temperament. "Of course," she said, "I have to pretend that I'm tortured by my art in order to fit in, but art's pretty easy as long as you don't care what it looks like."
